Audi’s celebrating 50 years of the brand in America with a full display at the New York International Auto Show starting this week. That’s all their new models including the 2019 Q3, refreshed TT RS, and 2020 R8.
“Our golden anniversary is a testament to our commitment to thrill our customers with world class vehicles that offer the latest technologies and benchmark design. Together, with our dealers, we look forward to moving America for the next fifty and beyond,” said Mark Del Rosso, president, Audi of America.
To go with the anniversary, Audi has made an infographic of some of the company’s milestones over the years. Starting with the Audi 100. The first model sold here, in 1969. Other highlights include the Ur quattro as the first full-time all-wheel drive passenger car, Michelle Mouton winning in the WRC and at Pikes Peak, and the aluminum A8 of 1994. Plus, of course, ski jumping an A6, all-electric e-trons, and launching vehicle to infrastructure communications.
Audi says that it is planning to make more announcements celebrating 50 throughout the year. That includes owner and fan engagement initiatives and announcing new products and tech.
