Q8 Interior Spied Full of Touch Screens

Audi is jumping into the SUV game with both feet and its flagship is set to be as big and comfortable as it is fast. And now we know a little bit more about how owners will interact with the Q8 thanks to these spy shots of the interior.

The company has been eager to show off how many touchable screens it has in concept cars, but it really looks like they’ll bringing all that tactile technology to market with the Q8.

The interior, though seemingly borrowed from the SQ7, also features some new toys, in the shape of an additional touch screen down low on the center console.

The screen appears to control comfort settings, like air conditioning and seat heating. The interior doesn’t quite look finished, though, as the screens appear to have been jury rigged in place on metal stands.

For a closer approximation to what a finished product might look like, we can look at past Q8 concepts, which had a similar set up, albeit with the top screen lower down on the dash.

The latest rumors, meanwhile suggest that when you’re pressing the accelerator, instead of the touchscreens, you’ll have access to a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 delivering a Lamborghini Urus-like 600 hp, in RS Q8 trim anyway.

And since these photos were taken on the Nürburgring, it seems likely that the Q8 will be able to round a bend, too.

Expect the Q8 to go on sale in 2018.
